When something starts going wrong with a device, the first thing I would pay attention to is what changed.
Maybe the screen suddenly stopped responding, the battery started dying faster than usual, or a laptop began shutting down for no reason. Even small details can help when trying to figure out what is going on.
It also helps to think about when the problem started and whether anything happened before it, like an update, a drop, or a spill.
Explain What Is Happening
Instead of just saying a device is “broken,” I think it is better to explain what it is actually doing.
For example, saying “My laptop shuts down after about ten minutes” gives a lot more information than just saying “My laptop does not work.”
Details like error messages, charging problems, freezing, or certain apps causing issues can also help narrow things down.
Before Getting It Repaired
Before agreeing to a repair, I would want to know what they think the problem is, how much it may cost, and how long it could take.
I would also want someone to explain it in a way that makes sense instead of making it feel more confusing.

If one of your devices stopped working today, what would be the first question you would ask before getting it repaired?
